LYNN — Centerboard announced the return of its annual Fore Fun Golf Fundraiser, after a yearlong hiatus due to COVID-19, on Sept. 16 at the Kelley Greens Golf Club in Nahant.
Centerboard serves more than 2,000 people each year through housing, access to employment and education and financial empowerment; the funds from this event help benefit all of those individuals and families.
The proceeds will help youth and families achieve stability through a variety of services, including a raffle to fund the inaugural Empowerment Scholarship, which will assist local college students to fund their education.
The funds will also directly benefit individuals and families in the North Shore area to provide them with the tools to help achieve independence and success through support, education and training, with a focus on healthy living and community connections.
Chief Executive Officer Mark DeJoie said Centerboard is “so excited to have this golf tournament again and look forward to having a great day.”
Centerboard said the Fore Fun Golf Tournament is the perfect opportunity for participants to do good while having an opportunity to network and have fun along the way.
“We promise a lot of laughs, fun games with prizes, giveaways and more,” said DeJoie.
Participants can join the festivities as a single, or put a foursome together, for a nine-hole outing.
There is a $100 registration fee per player, which includes golf and a dinner after the tournament.
Golf carts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This is the third annual golf tournament held by Centerboard.
