LYNN — Family & Children’s Service will be holding its 14th annual Family Fun Day on Saturday at the Lynn Commons.
At the event, children will be guided through activities and treated to free popcorn and slushies. Kids will also be able to enjoy trackless train rides and raffles.
Since the event was held virtually last year due to COVID-19, Family & Children’s Service Executive Director Selvin Chambers is happy it will return to being held in-person this weekend.
“We are so excited to be hosting our 14th annual Family Fun Day on a Saturday for the first time ever, because it allows us to engage more families and connect them with other community resources outside of F&CS,” said Chambers. “We are grateful to our event sponsor, Eastern Bank, and to over 30 nonprofit community agencies who will be attending for their partnership in helping to pull this off. It’s great to be back in-person.”
The Lynn Department of Public Health will be present at the event to provide free COVID-19 vaccine doses. The event will include free giveaways for items such as school supplies, books and children’s clothing provided by Cradles to Crayons.
