A report of a young child by himself on the causeway at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday. An officer located the child’s parents, who were nearby, and determined that he was simply riding his new scooter and knew not to go into traffic.
A resident came to the station at 4:52 p.m. Wednesday to report that he had been forced to walk in the street with his dog on Atlantic Avenue because of construction, which was dangerous.
A report of a vehicle going extremely fast on West Shore Drive at 7:47 p.m. Wednesday. Police apprehended the vehicle and one person was brought to a hospital for evaluation.

A report of a loud party at the tennis courts on Wyman Road at 1:54 a.m. Thursday. The kids attending the party ran into the woods when police arrived, and officers recovered several cell phones and other items.

Missing persons
A report of a missing child from Salem at 9:48 p.m. Monday who may have been in Marblehead. The boy was located at 12:13 a.m. and brought home safely.
Scams
A Front Street resident came to the station at 12:27 p.m. Thursday to report that she had received a scam call saying that she had won $5.5 million, but first had to purchase a gift card and send it to the caller.
An Intrepid Circle resident reported at 1:58 p.m. Thursday that she had received an email that appeared to be from Amazon saying that there was an issue with her account, and she gave them her bank information. Her bank was able to stop a $400 withdrawal but she lost $100.
A Doaks Lane resident reported at 3:50 p.m. Sunday that his wife had received a scam call and had sent the caller money via Venmo.
A report of a fraud on Barnard Street at 9:56 p.m. Sunday.
Theft
The owner of a warehouse on Beringer Way reported at 4:33 p.m. Friday that over $6,000 worth of equipment was stolen from the warehouse.
A report of a stolen child’s bike at 8:06 p.m. Friday on Wyman Road.
A report of a historic sign stolen off a Union Street house at 9:06 a.m. Saturday.

Accidents
At 6:34 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Walnut Street. Two individuals were taken to a nearby hospital.
On Friday at 9:03 p.m., a caller reported a crash involving four vehicles on Walnut Street. Two vehicles had their airbags deployed and three individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for possible injuries.

At 6:36 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that there was a bat with a broken wing on Newhall Avenue.
Disturbance
On Thursday at 6:31 p.m., a caller reported that two youths were riding their bikes through Square One Mall. They were later trespassed from the mall.
At 12:56 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that someone used a vehicle from the lot at 961 Broadway and refused to return it. The officer reported the vehicle as stolen.
Forgery
On Wednesday, July 21, a caller reported that an employee from CVS reported that an individual was trying to pass a fake prescription at 3:24 p.m.
Theft
Macy’s loss prevention at Square One Mall reported a male shoplifter at 7:04 p.m. Thursday. One person was arrested (see arrests).

On Wednesday, July 21, a caller reported that a man was lost. The caller was concerned as the man was in his underwear and wearing oven mitts on his feet at 12:57 a.m.
