Complaints
A report of loitering at 8:37 p.m. Friday at Panera Bread at 430 Market St. A manager reported a large group of kids had been in and out of the store all day, refusing to buy anything. The group reportedly refused to leave when asked. Police reported the group left the property upon request.
A report of a disturbance at 12:10 a.m. Sunday at Glen Meadow Park on Trickett Road. A caller reported he could hear a large group at the park and glass breaking. Police reported the park was clear, but a port-a-potty had been tipped over.
An unattended death was reported at 10 a.m. Sunday at 300 King Rail Drive. The person was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 1:27 p.m. Thursday on Washington Square; at 12:38 a.m. Saturday on Ocean Avenue; at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Fort Beach Way; at 5:12 a.m. Sunday on Pleasant Street.
A report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash at 6:57 p.m. Thursday on Bessom Street.
A car vs. bicycle crash was reported at 8:31 p.m. Thursday on Pleasant Street.
A caller reported a car backed into a house at 9:13 a.m. Friday on Front Street. Police reported there was no damage to the house and the damage to the car was estimated at less than $1,000. The driver was issued a verbal warning for a one-way violation. The homeowner later reported there was a rock sticking out of the house.
Complaints
A report of swearing and yelling at 5:40 p.m. Thursday on Ocean Avenue. A group of six teenagers was reportedly yelling and screaming obscenities.
At 9:59 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a group of teenagers started to follow and throw rocks at her and her friend when they were sitting at the beach on Ocean Avenue. The caller later reported the group had left in a dark sedan. Police said units were advised of the group.
At 1:45 p.m. Saturday, a caller from Fort Sewall Lane reported a woman was yelling and screaming at the fort before getting into a vehicle and leaving the area. The woman was reportedly throwing stones and acting strange.
At 6:21 p.m. Saturday, a caller from Clifton and Atlantic avenues reported a man had “lapped the area three times” and proceeded to “throw a beer can out the window” before leaving the area. Swampscott Police were also notified.
A report of a possible prowler at 12:26 a.m. Sunday on Atlantic Avenue. A caller reported a man with a flashlight was looking in all of his windows and tried his back door. The man was described as being in his 20s.

A report of vandalism at 12:10 p.m. Saturday on Lafayette Street. A caller reported her things were strewn about, but there was no damage to anything.

At 11:56 a.m. Sunday, a citizen flagged down police to report their tires were slashed on Elm Street.
A report of vandalism at 6:20 p.m. Sunday at railroad right-of-way. A caller reported someone had pulled the signs up from both sides of the pond.

Matthew W. Bruce, 30, of 13 Willis Road, was arrested and charged with OUI-liquor and failure to use care in starting, stopping, turning or backing up at 10:05 p.m. Friday.
Kyle B. Castillo, 23, of 1 Goldberg Road, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and carrying a dangerous weapon at 1:09 a.m. Sunday.
Melissa M. Leblanc, 34, of 20 Herrick Road, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of property damage, OUI-drugs, and failure to stop/yield at 4:17 p.m. Friday.

A report of a neighborhood dispute at 3:40 p.m. Friday at 2 Wheeler St. and 234 Washington St. A caller reported someone was throwing glass at a neighbor. Police reported they were gone upon arrival.
A report of suspicious activity at 10:54 p.m. Friday at 1 Sycamore Circle. A caller reported a suspicious person had walked toward her car and was looking inside with a flashlight. She said the man fled after she spotted him. Police reported the man was waiting for a friend down the street.
A neighborhood dispute was reported at 8:01 p.m. Saturday at 10 Scott Drive. A caller reported her neighbor had just put an axe through the fence. Police reported there was no axe; there was a small piece of wood that had been in the fence for three months. Police said this was part of an ongoing neighbor dispute.
A report of a disturbance at 11:48 p.m. Saturday at Wendy’s, 69 Newbury St. A caller reported people in two vehicles were arguing and using racial slurs. Police reported all was quiet upon arrival.
A report of a neighborhood dispute at 1:19 p.m. Sunday at 4 Herbert Ave. A caller reported his neighbor was cutting down his tree. Police reported the person was going to continue cutting the tree.

A report of shoplifting at 6:45 p.m. Friday at CVS, 535 Lowell St. A store manager reported a man who stole multiple items on Thursday was back in the store. Brett E. Rome, 31, of South Boston, was arrested (see arrests).
A report of a larceny at 7:25 p.m. Saturday at 16 Littles Lane. A caller reported a neighbor spit on her belongings and stole some items from the basement.
A larceny from Laced at 210L Andover St. was reported at 5:54 p.m. Sunday. A caller reported a male stole a T-shirt that was priced at $150.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at 26 Hingston St. A caller reported two slashed tires.

Breaking and Entering
A report of a breaking and entering at 8:32 p.m. Sunday at Salvation Army, 209-233 Broadway. A caller reported the occupant of a black Charger had been seen taking property from the storage units in the back of the building. The person was trespassed indefinitely from the property.

A caller reported gunshots at 8:32 p.m. Friday at Walmart, 770 Broadway. Police reported the call was unfounded.
A report of a disturbance at 1:17 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Glen Golf Course at 60 Water St. A caller reported four men had been giving her a hard time and assaulted a customer. The four men then reportedly took a golf club over to the first hole. Police reported the men had left voluntarily without issue.
A report of suspicious activity at 6 p.m. Saturday at 64 Auburn St. A caller reported rocks from his driveway were being thrown over his house. Some of the rocks had almost hit his daughter while she was in the backyard, the caller said.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 10:17 a.m. Saturday at Walmart, 770 Broadway. A caller reported someone had taken $40 in cash and charged $50 on a debit card that was in her wallet, which had been left in the changing room.

A Forest Avenue resident reported a group of kids running up and down her driveway and ringing her doorbell and running away at 8:39 p.m. Friday.
A report of a group of six juveniles shaking a parked car and attempting to break a window on Aspen Road at 9:49 p.m. Friday. No damage was done to the car.
Marblehead Police reported at 6:27 p.m. Saturday seeing a driver throw a beer can out the window of their car while driving on Atlantic Avenue into Swampscott.
A Laurel Road resident reported a group of kids playing basketball behind Swampscott Middle School at 9:39 p.m. Saturday.
An erratic operator driving all over the road on Humphrey Street was arrested for operating under the influence at 10:53 p.m. Saturday.
A Boynton Street resident called at 9:37 a.m. Sunday to report that he had video of a truck throwing trash out the window in the neighborhood.
Disturbances
A caller complained about noise coming from a rally on Humphrey Street and Monument Avenue disrupting the Hadley School at 12:08 p.m. Thursday. Another caller complained about language being used at the rally at 12:10 p.m. Another caller from Perico Group on Humphrey Street also complained at 6:11 p.m. about noise from the rally causing stress to employees performing medical procedures.
A report at 9:31 p.m. Thursday of gunfire and people screaming in the area of Essex Street and Beach Avenue. Police determined that there was no evidence of gunfire and that the sound was most likely a car backfiring.
A person walking a dog in the area of Monument Avenue reported hearing a loud boom at 9:45 p.m. Friday. Police believed the sound to be coming from fireworks in Lynn.
A report of a loud pool party on Humphrey Street at 10:49 p.m. Saturday.

An Aspen Road resident reported at 10:47 p.m. Thursday that they believed there may have been a person at their back door.
A Banks Road resident reported a suspicious party in their backyard the night before at 10 a.m. Friday.
A caller at CVS reported that a person had been sleeping in a car outside the store for two and a half hours at 6:47 a.m. Monday.
Theft
A Walnut Road resident reported that the contents of a package that had been delivered was stolen at 3:05 p.m. Saturday.
A manager at Whole Foods reported at 1:37 p.m. Sunday that a woman had been caught shoplifting and was now causing a scene.
