SWAMPSCOTT — The Farmers Market will return for the summer this Sunday, and will offer its usual attractions after a scaled-back season last year due to the pandemic.
Recreation Director Danielle Strauss said the 2021 market will be able to accommodate more vendors — around 25 compared to last year’s 15 — and will be open instead of having a designated entrance and exit.
“All of the restrictions have been lifted,” she said. “We will be bringing back our Adirondack chairs and picnic tables and eventually we will bring back music.”
Visitors who have been fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks.
Some of the food, craft and farm vendors appearing at the market include Al’s Hives and Honey, Long Hill Orchards, Ackermann Maple Farm, Moran’s Pet Food, Crepe du Jour and Valicenti Pasta. There will also be representatives from Peabody Properties, Swampscott Conservancy, the School Building Committee and the Swampscott Girl Scouts, as well as a bike swap and repair station.
“We’re just really excited to see our vendors and our customers come back this year and see their smiling faces,” Strauss said.
The farmers market runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays, rain or shine, outside of Swampscott Town Hall, 22 Monument Ave. A full list of vendors can be found on the farmers website, swampscottfarmersmarket.org.
