A caller reported a man and a woman were throwing rocks on his Ocean Avenue property at 3:02 p.m. Thursday. An officer located the couple sitting in a motor vehicle and explained the fishing and fowling rules.

A report of vandalism at 4:51 p.m. Thursday on Smith Street. A caller reported the trailer tires were flattened on his parked boat. The caller said someone had told him that a person had removed the cores from the stems, which had caused the tires to go flat.

A report of a disturbance at 7:47 p.m. Thursday on Holten Street. A caller reported a woman was running topless down the roadway. She was taken to Salem Hospital and its security staff was advised.
A report of suspicious activity at 9:58 a.m. Friday at Federal Express at 4 Lakeland Park Drive. A large box of marijuana, weighing approximately 35 pounds, was reported. The police department took possession of the package, with plans for its Criminal Investigation Division to follow up on the incident.

An employee of Taco Bell on Broadway reported at 11:46 p.m. Thursday that a customer had come into the store and, when told the store was closed, smashed one of the building’s glass doors and left. An officer was dispatched for more information.
Police received a report at 1:15 a.m. Friday of a woman running in the middle of the highway on Broadway in the area of Chisholm’s Motel. Officers were dispatched and an ambulance was requested for evaluation.
A caller reported finding a small white dog on Holland Avenue at 7:07 a.m. Friday. Animal Control was contacted.
A caller reported at 7:10 a.m. Friday that the Bank of America ATM window on Broadway was smashed and there was a woman sleeping in the vestibule. Dispatched officers determined the damage to the ATM occurred previously. The woman was sent on her way.
