At 3:18 p.m. Thursday, a Pine Street caller reported he got a text from “Cartel” that stated if he didn’t send them money, they would kill more people. He said the person also sent graphic images of people the group had allegedly killed. Police reported the exchange appeared to be a scam.

A three-car crash was reported at 4:48 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant and Devereux streets.
Complaints
At 12:05 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a landscaping crew working on Preston Beach Road was dumping materials onto the conservation land across the tracks at Ware Pond. The caller was walking on the tracks and saw the activity. Police reported half a barrel of leaves was tossed over the fence and advised the company not to do that. The crew cleaned up the leaves.
Vandalism
Vandalism was reported on Wyman Road on the white shed behind the grandstand at 2:11 p.m. Thursday.

A report of gunshots at 5:04 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Park on Perkins Street. A caller reported hearing a single gunshot near the park. An officer reported a baseball game was taking place in the park.
At 5:20 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported witnessing a man exhibiting lewd behavior outside of North Shore Childcare at 17 Washington St.
A report of a disturbance at 12 a.m. Friday at Lahey Medical Center at 1 Essex Center Drive. Lahey Security reported a man in the north parking lot was laying on the horn inside a silver Jeep and exhibiting erratic behavior. Police reported all was in order; the man was just leaving work and was excited.
A report of suspicious activity at 3:36 a.m. Friday at 20 Harris St. A caller thought she saw people on her trampoline. Police didn’t find anyone in the yard.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 4:24 p.m. Thursday at La Siesta at 3 Main St. A caller reported a customer skipped out on their bar tab.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 10:34 a.m. Friday at 8 Oak St. A caller reported the front door was damaged. Police reported the door was smashed.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Main Street and Newhall Avenue.
Complaints
A woman called the station at 5:24 p.m. Thursday to report a package was stolen off her steps on Sweetwater Street and stated she had footage of the incident. A dispatched officer reported the package was picked up by the landlord and that the incident was a misunderstanding.
Theft
Loss Prevention at Macy’s at the Square One Mall on Broadway reported they had detained two female shoplifters at 1:20 p.m. Thursday.
