SALEM — The new regional vaccine clinic at Salem State University will open May 11 for all Massachusetts residents aged 16 and older.
The clinic will be open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m., except for Thursday, May 13 when it will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The regional clinic is a partnership between the Cities of Beverly, Lynn, Peabody, and Salem and the Towns of Danvers, Marblehead, Nahant, Saugus, and Swampscott. The clinic will be able to administer 1,000 vaccinations per week using the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
Patients should register in advance for an appointment by visiting home.color.com/vaccine/register/salem.
Those under age 18 need a signed consent form, which is available at mass.gov/lists/ma-consent-and-screening-forms-for-people-under-18-years-of-age.
The clinic is located at the Salem State University O’Keefe Center at 25 Canal St.
Masks are required at the vaccination site. All patients should wear a shirt that allows upper arm access, pre-screen themselves for COVID-19 symptoms, and plan to stay for 15 to 30 minutes of monitoring following their shot. People will be unable to receive the vaccine if they are not feeling well, have received any other vaccine in the last 14 days, or are allergic to a component of the vaccine.
