SALEM — The Southern Essex Registry of Deeds will begin a limited reopening to the public on Monday, April 12.
Public access for recordings will be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with dropoffs accepted between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. All visitors must abide by COVID-19 safety protocols, including wearing a face covering and maintaining social distancing, as well as leaving a name and phone number for contact tracing.
Public access for research will be limited to two-hour appointments made in advance. No access to physical records will be permitted unless specified when making the appointment so the record can be prepared; all records are still available online. No closings will be permitted on the premises.
