Israel Rio hugs his daughter, Sofia, 6, both of Lynn, after sitting in with her during her remote kindergarten class. Throughout the pandemic, Rio took to sitting in on his daughter's classes as a way to learn English and has now become a part of the class. Rio is present for attendance and waves "hi" to the teacher and students before class and is on hand to help out his daughter if she needs it.
