The Lynnfield volleyball team finally got off to the hot start it’s been looking for all season, rolling to a 3-0 win over Cape Ann League foe Georgetown on the road Monday afternoon. The Pioneers took the match by set scores of 25-6, 25-7, 25-11.
The Pioneers got things started right away, jumping out to a 10-1 lead in the opening set before Georgetown called a timeout. The timeout didn’t slow things down, as Lynnfield continued to play well en route to a big 25-6 set victory.
The rest of the match was much of the same, as the Pioneers were able to control the pace and flow for the entire performance. After rolling to another set victory by a score of 25-7 in the second, the Pioneers followed it up with a 25-11 set victory in the third to take the match and keep their perfect record intact.
Lynnfield (5-0) will look to remain unbeaten Wednesday evening (5:30) when the Pioneers play on the road at Hamilton-Wenham.
