LYNN

Arrest 

Matthew Madden, 30, of 31 Walter St., was arrested on warrant charges of operation of a motor vehicle, motor vehicle not meeting safety standards, and improper operation of a motor vehicle at 5:46 p.m. Wednesday. 

Accidents 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday at Den Quarry Way and Range Avenue; at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday at 57 Range Ave.; at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday at Chestnut and Essex streets; at 8:06 p.m. Wednesday on Western Avenue; at 11:57 a.m. Thursday at Adams and Chestnut streets. 

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday at Euclid and Magnolia avenues. 

Theft 

A report of a larceny at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at 71 Linden St.

Vandalism 

A report of vandalism at 11:26 a.m. Wednesday at 370 Lynnway.

Accident 

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on Washington Street.

Complaint 

A report of unemployment fraud at 4:34 p.m. Wednesday on Pond Street. 

Theft 

A report of a larceny/forgery/fraud at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday on Creesy Street. A snow blower was reported stolen.  

 

PEABODY 

Arrest  

Allison Nicole Gage, 22, of 200 Main St., Reading, was arrested and charged with OUI liquor at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday. 

Accidents 

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 5:04 p.m. Wednesday at Stop & Shop at 19 Howley St.; at 5:47 p.m. Wednesday at 1 Andover St. and 1 Pulaski St. 

A report of operating under the influence of liquor at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday at 171 Lowell St. A car into a pole was reported. One person was taken to Beverly Hospital with a police escort. Allison Nicole Gage, 22, of Reading, was arrested (see arrests). 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 7:42 p.m. Wednesday at YS Transducers at 67 Andover St. 

A motor vehicle crash at 8:01 a.m. Thursday at Auto Mall at 218 Andover St. Maria Das Gracas De Aguiar Bartlett, 55, of 261 Newbury St., Apt. 71C, was summoned for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. William C. Bartlett, 60, of 261 Newbury St., Apt. 71C, was summoned for permitting the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. 

Theft 

A report of a larceny at 9:27 p.m. Wednesday at 8 Crowninshield St. A caller reported a woman was caught on video going through many packages in the foyer. She said her passport documentation was stolen. 

Package theft was reported at 11:10 a.m. Thursday at 8 Crowninshield St.

Accidents 

A report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 7:09 a.m. Wednesday on Main Street. One person was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. 

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday at Gentle Dental at 1423 Broadway.

A motor vehicle crash with injuries was reported at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday at Essex Landing at 1565 Broadway; at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday at Home Depot at 564 Broadway. 

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday at Taco Bell/Charter Foods North LLC at 421 Broadway; at 6:31 p.m. Wednesday at Chipotle at 444 Broadway. 

A report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 1:39 a.m. Thursday at 376 Essex St. and 6 Altamont Ave. A car into a pole was reported. One person was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. 

Breaking and Entering 

A report of a breaking and entering at 6:46 p.m. Wednesday at 167 Hamilton St. A caller reported her aunt’s home was being broken into while she was pulling up to get to the mail. A black pickup truck was reportedly taking off upon her arrival. Police reported there was no break and the incident was related to a probate issue. 

A breaking and entering was reported at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday at LA Fitness at 1450 Broadway. A caller reported her car was broken into at the gym and her purse was stolen. 

Theft 

A report of a larceny at 12:49 p.m. Wednesday at 82 Bristow St. A woman reported a package was stolen from the front steps of her home. 

 

SWAMPSCOTT

Accidents

At 4:06 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported he was involved in a hit and run crash coming out of the Citizens Bank at 500 Paradise Road. No injuries were reported. 

At 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, a report of an accident at 306 Essex St.

Animal Control

At 4:31 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a deceased dog or coyote covered in a blanket in the gutter on Essex Street toward Lynn, next to the cemetery. DPW was notified.

Hazardous conditions

At 2:57 p.m. Wednesday, a report of water bubbling from the ground in the parking lot at Phillips Park, 601 Humphrey St. DPW was notified.

Runaway

At 5:58 p.m., a youth approached a state trooper to report that his 11-year-old brother had run away. The brother was located on Reid Terrace and returned home.

Scams

At 11:22 a.m. Wednesday, a report of a con or scam at 2 Essex St.

At 2:07 p.m. Wednesday, a report of a con or scam at 402 Paradise Road.
