NAHANT — Nahant’s Department of Public Works responded to a minor break in the town’s sewer system Thursday afternoon.
An employee of the department said the damage, which took place in the vicinity of lower Fox Hill Road, occurred while National Grid completed work in the area.
A post on the Town Hall Facebook page stated crews were on-site at around 2 p.m. to assess the situation and determined that the town would be able to avoid long-term intermittent service.
Erring on the side of caution, the department asked residents to conserve water as much as possible until crews were able to finish making the repair.
