Bobby Jellison drops 42 points as Salem boys basketball beats Marblehead

SALEM -- Salem’s Bobby Jellison had the biggest game of his career Tuesday afternoon, hitting 12 3-pointers and scoring 42 points to lift the Witches boys basketball team to a 61-52 win over Marblehead at Veterans Memorial Field House.

“It was an unbelievable performance by Bobby,” said Salem coach Tom Doyle. “We’ve been very lucky at Salem to have a number of great players and scorers come through, but I haven’t seen 12 3-pointers and 42 points in quite awhile.”

Jellison got hot early, scoring 31 points in the first half.
