LYNN — Mayor Thomas M. McGee’s office has announced that Lynn City Hall will partially reopen to the public on Wednesday.
Residents and businesses seeking to make cash payments only to the collector’s office, parking department and Inspectional Services Department may do so during regular business hours.
Visitors will be allowed to park in any space in the Johnson Street parking lot until further notice. They can either wait in line outside of the Johnson Street entrance to City Hall or inside their car after providing the desk attendant with their phone number to secure a spot in the queue. Those who leave their phone number will be notified by the desk attendant when they are able to enter.
“We ask for your patience with anticipated wait times,” said the statement from the mayor’s office. “All visitors entering the building are required to wear a mask at all times.”
Upon entering, visitors will be directed to the appropriate staff on the first floor of the building only, to assist them with the available services. All other city business will continue to be conducted virtually until further notice, the statement said.
To reach city departments by phone or email, or to make online payments for taxes and parking tickets, residents should visit the city website, www.lynnma.gov. All checks and money orders for city-related payments can be mailed or placed in the designated drop box outside City Hall on Johnson Street, the statement said.
