School Sports Roundup: Peabody girls basketball takes down Danvers

The Peabody girls basketball team jumped out to a big lead and never looked back Wednesday night, rolling to a 34-17 win over Danvers in a Northeastern Conference bout. 

Amber Kiricoples led the way for Peabody in the win, notching nine points and eight rebounds. Taylor Bettencourt had a big first half with seven points, but she missed the entire second half after suffering an injury in the waning minutes of the second quarter. Abby Bettencourt came in to run the point guard position from that point on, playing well and finishing with two points and four blocks.
