SWAMPSCOTT — Swampscott High School announced on Monday that it has hired Jillian Robinson as its new varsity girls lacrosse coach. Robinson is coming in to replace Al Eaton, who has left the program after five years to accept a college coaching position.
“We look forward to watching the program continue to grow and to see the success of our players under Coach Robinson’s guidance,” Swampscott Athletic Director Kelly Farley said in a press release announcing the hire.
Robinson is a familiar face to the team, as she has served as both the junior varsity and goalie coach for the program for the last five years.
Robinson played her college lacrosse at Westfield State University and also coached at Salem High School before coming to Swampscott. Robinson is currently a Behavior Specialist for the Marblehead Public Schools.
The Big Blue are coming off a year in which their spring season was canceled, but as of now the 2021 season is set to start in late April.
