The nine months that have passed since the COVID-19 pandemic have been a struggle for people from all walks of life. No matter how hard some people worked to keep their heads above water, circumstances led to them falling behind on things like rent, bills and other necessities.
Such has been the case for one single mother, who despite her determination has fallen on hard times nonetheless. After losing her job earlier in the year, getting by paying for things like rent and food are becoming harder and harder. And while it’s taking a toll on her emotionally, she is doing her best to shield her young daughter from the pains of the past year.
“I really just don’t want my struggles to affect my daughter,” said the mother. “The Christmas season is supposed to be a happy time for kids, and I want my daughter to feel that as well.
“I’m asking for help this holiday season, and I would be more than appreciative for anything that anyone can do to,” the mother added.
