Like so many others, one mother has been left reeling from the hardship her family has experienced during the pandemic.
“This year has been rough and this virus has destroyed so many families all over the world, and unfortunately, I am one of many families that lost their homes,” she wrote to Item Santa.
In her letter, the mother marveled at how her three children, 9, 10, and 22, have continued to remain positive in spite of the loss and turmoil that has been brought on by the pandemic.
“Even though the stress of this world changes, my children still continue to wear a happy face through it all,” she wrote. “I would love to continue to see those happy faces through this holiday season.”
It’s not lost on the mother that she is one of many families seeking help from Item Santa this year, but she said she would appreciate any support that can be provided to her and her children this Christmas season.
She is particularly focused on being able to provide a happy Christmas for her children. Their Thanksgiving celebration was virtually non-existent due to the loss of their home, which left her unable to cook a traditional turkey dinner.
The mother chose not to go into specifics, in terms of what gifts she wanted to provide for her children. It’s clear that she would be grateful for any help that could be provided this Christmas.
“What I am thankful for every day is that we are still together,” she wrote. “And for me, as a mom, is everything I need.”
