A woman who worked as a nurse on the front-lines of the COVID-19 pandemic is now struggling to provide for her five children.
She was proud to serve the community during this crisis, writing: “I have been truly blessed during this pandemic to be on the front line as a COVID nurse.”
However, she took a leave of absence after her two sons came back into her custody at the end of the summer. The boys have special needs and their therapeutic programs were closed due to state mandates, so she was forced to leave her job to care for them.
“I have been living unemployment check to unemployment check just to pay rent and care for all five of my children,” she writes.
She hopes for some assistance in providing toys to her family during the Christmas season.
“Thank you for making Christmas a time of wonder and magic for my family,” she writes.
