Lynn and Revere reported another double-digit surge in coronavirus cases on Tuesday.
New cases were also reported in Lynnfield, another red community, but numbers remained the same in other North Shore towns.
In Lynn, 27 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 5,525. Of that total, 471 cases are active, 122 people have died and 4,932 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Revere reported 24 new cases to bring the city’s total numbers to 3,253 cases and 108 deaths, according to the city website.
Four new cases were reported in Lynnfield to bring the town’s caseload to 174. Fourteen people have died, according to the town website.
Numbers remained the same in Nahant (55 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Peabody, Saugus or Swampscott on Tuesday.
As of Monday, Peabody had 1,454 cases and 188 deaths and Swampscott had 188 cases and 11 deaths. Marblehead (292 cases, 30 deaths) and Saugus (808 cases, 43 deaths) have not provided updated numbers since last Thursday and Wednesday respectively.
