Complaints
An unknown caller reported at 11:27 p.m. Friday that there was a large gathering of more than 25 people being loud on Lennox Road. A dispatched officer reported that there were 10 people at the gathering and that the music had already been turned down.
A woman called the station at 7:04 p.m. Thursday to report she heard what she thought may have been gunshots on the ocean off of Gardener Road. An officer had heard the noise and informed the caller that it was fireworks.
Animal Control
An unknown caller reported at 6:58 p.m. Friday that she found a large black dog at Forty Steps beach. The owner was contacted.
Downed Wires
Police received a report of downed wires on Wilson Road at 3:20 p.m. Friday.
Fraud
Police received a call at 1:43 p.m. Friday from a man who stated he was notified by his employer that unemployment benefits were filed on his behalf. The man was advised this is a newly common fraud and was instructed on how to proceed.
