The Pumpkin Truck, which was delayed in leaving New Mexico for delivery at First Congregational Church in Saugus earlier this month, will now arrive Sunday, Oct. 11, signaling the start of the annual Pumpkin Patch.
Pumpkins of all sizes will be displayed on the church lawn through Oct. 31 and will be available for purchase every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Volunteers are still needed to help staff the various shifts throughout the rest of the month. Those interested in volunteering should contact Carl Spencer at (781) 233-9196, or simply stop by and sign up.
“We’re happy to get this good news so we can finally get the Pumpkin Patch up and running,” Spencer said. “The church truly enjoys providing the community with pumpkins and hosting this great fall event.”
