Saugus reported an additional death and new coronavirus cases were also reported Monday in Lynn, Lynnfield, Marblehead, Peabody and Revere.
With the additional virus fatality, the COVID-19 death toll in Saugus rises to 42.
The town also reported six new cases to bring its caseload to 727, according to the town website.
In Lynn, seven new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 5,025. Of that total, 374 cases are active, 118 people have died and 4,533 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Lynnfield reported two new cases to bring the town’s total numbers to 148 cases and 14 deaths, according to the town website.
Two new cases have been reported in Marblehead since last Monday, Sept. 28. The town now has 276 cases and 30 people have died, according to town data.
In Peabody, 14 new cases have been reported since last Friday to bring the city’s caseload to 1,328. A total of 185 people have died and 1,002 have recovered, according to the health department.
Revere got a bit of a reprieve from its recent virus surge, as the city only reported one new case Monday. A total of 2,797 cases and 104 deaths have been reported, according to the city website.
Numbers remained the same in Nahant (52 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Swampscott, which had 168 cases and 11 deaths as of last Wednesday.
