Lynn and Revere reported a double-digit surge in new coronavirus cases on Wednesday.
And two more deaths were reported in Peabody to bring the city’s death toll to 185.
With 20 new cases reported, Lynn now has 4,956 cases, 420 of them active. A total of 118 people have died and 4,418 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
In Revere, 16 new cases were reported to bring the city’s caseload to 2,744, while the death roll remained the same at 103, according to the city website.
Double-digit case increases were also seen in Marblehead and Saugus, but those upticks include new cases since Monday.
Fourteen new cases have been reported in Marblehead since Monday, which brings the town’s total numbers to 274 cases and 30 deaths, according to the state Department of Public Health.
Saugus has reported 11 new cases over that two-day span, according to the DPH. The town now has 721 cases and 41 people have died.
With eight new cases reported, Peabody’s new caseload is 1,306, according to the city’s health department.
Numbers remained the same in Nahant (52 cases, six deaths) and Swampscott (168 cases, 11 deaths).
