MARBLEHEAD
Accidents
A caller reported his trailer struck a stop sign and knocked it over while he was traveling through the five corners intersection on School Street at 3:52 p.m. Thursday. The highway department was notified.
Complaints
A report of two people playing music at 7:17 p.m. Thursday on Front Street. A caller reported two people were down at the Landing playing annoying music and he did not think they had an entertainment license to be performing there. The caller said they were playing bongo drums and an electric guitar.
A report of a man spitting at 7:26 a.m. Friday on Rowland Street. A caller reported a man was “spitting” as he yelled “black lives matter.” The caller said she was across the street and not next to him at the time. Police reported the man was holding a sign and chanting.
NAHANT
Complaints
An officer reported receiving a complaint for loud music coming from a boat near 40 Steps Beach at 5:19 p.m. Thursday. The music had stopped by the time a dispatched officer arrived.
A man walked into the station at 10:40 a.m. Thursday to state that a sign in the vicinity of Pond St. and Nahant Rd. is blocking the view for cars trying to pull out onto Nahant Rd. The man reported the sign almost caused an accident. A dispatched officer reported there was no obstruction.
Police received a call at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday about debris in the middle of the causeway in front of Tides. A dispatched officer reported removing a broom handle from the causeway. No further action was required.
Animal Control
Police received a call at 11:56 a.m. Thursday from a man who stated his four-month-old Siberian husky went missing the day before. The dog, described as all gray with a white stripe down the face and one blue eye/one brown eye, was last seen in Diamond District in Lynn.
Police received a call at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday from a man who reported he lost a six-month-old husky near Lynn Shore Drive. The dog is described as gray and white with blue eyes, around 35 pounds.
A woman called the station at 6:09 p.m. Wednesday to report a cat was struck by a car on Nahant Rd.
Vandalism
Police received a call at 4 p.m. Wednesday from a man who stated he believed someone slashed one of his tires with a knife. An officer dispatched to Range Rd. reported the caller hit a curb earlier today and caused the marks. Both rims of the vehicle were also bent.
Thefts
A caller reported a break and enter from the other night at 9:53 a.m. Wednesday.
PEABODY
Animal Control
Police received a voicemail at 9:19 a.m. Friday from a resident of Salem St. who requested information on foster services for her pets. The woman was left a voicemail advising her to call the ARL or MSPCA for further information.
Complaints
Police received a call at 1:20 a.m. Friday regarding a male party playing a saxophone in the Leather City Commons. Dispatched officers spoke with the party, who agreed to stop playing.
A caller at 11:44 p.m. Thursday reported two white males, approximately 18 years old, who appeared to be intoxicated were banging on the garage door to a business on Webster St. The caller believed they were trying to cause damage to the property. Dispatched officers reported no issues at that time.
SWAMPSCOTT
Assaults
A report of an assault at 9:23 p.m. Thursday on Paradise Road. A caller reported there were three men, one of whom, had a gun in the area.
Complaints
A report of a disturbance at 8:33 a.m. Thursday at 54 Redington St.
A report of suspicious activity at 1:34 p.m. Thursday at Stetson and Suffolk avenues. A caller reported a man in a gray pickup truck was circling Stetson Avenue, getting out of the vehicle, and driving in a suspicious manner.
A caller reported hearing nine gunshots at 7:09 p.m. Thursday in the area of the ballfields at Swampscott Middle School at 207 Forest Ave. Police reported the noise was from fireworks.
A disturbance was reported at 8:19 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Park at 601 Humphrey St. A caller reported a car was doing donuts in the parking lot of the park.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 3:11 p.m. Thursday at 26 Winshaw Road. A caller reported her landscaper’s leaf blower was stolen.
