Lynn reported a double-digit surge in new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, and new cases were also seen in Peabody and Revere.
With 19 new cases, Lynn’s caseload is now 4,887. Of that total, 578 cases are active, 117 people have died, and 4,192 have recovered from the virus, according to city data.
Six new cases were reported in Peabody to bring the city’s total number of cases to 1,279. The city’s death toll remained the same at 183 and 991 people have now recovered, according to the health department.
In Revere, eight new cases were reported on Wednesday. The city now has 2,651 cases and 100 people have died, according to the city website.
Numbers remained the same in Lynnfield (135 cases, 14 deaths) and Nahant (52 cases, six deaths) and were not updated in Marblehead, Saugus or Swampscott.
As of Tuesday, Saugus had 698 cases and 41 deaths. Marblehead had 268 cases and 30 deaths as of Monday, and Swampscott (165 cases, 11 deaths) has not released updated numbers since last Thursday.
