The last few months The Daily Item has been noticeably leaning to the radical far left in political outlook.
Thursday’s editorial signifies the end of Lynn’s finest moderate conservative newspaper. Your choice to publish the ‘Seattle Times’ editorial from the ‘war-torn’ city of Seattle closes your chapter of publishing newsworthy truth.
Yes, the “78 developed countries” referenced are smart to work together, because on their own they wouldn’t have access to all the resources necessary to complete the task in developing and distributing a safe vaccine.
The editorial insinuates that the United States will “exclusively and only” provide the safe vaccine for themselves. Read the specific plan for distribution and you will note how erroneous that statement is.
The people of the United States have a responsibility to care for their people before we “act globally.”
Of course, the article throws in a blatant curve ball lie by not acknowledging President Trump’s honorable and immediate actions for the safety and well-being of all residing in the United States.
It praises Bill and Melinda Gates in their crusade to save lives. Where have they been during the pandemic?
Did they call and support the president’s efforts? Did they seek out to support an entire generation of students who are faced with online learning? Did they support the millions who were unemployed?
My hunch is that the Gates’ probably did assist people residing in the United States. Perhaps one of the reasons they extend globally, and urge others, is the fact that their Microsoft products are used globally.
Please assure Maria Cantwell and the Gates’ that the people of the United States have not and will not forget to honor our commitment to support human-kind.
First, we must assure support for ourselves in order to continue to support globally.
Finally, may I ask you to complete an honest fact checking before printing or even quoting articles.
