Jarod Bryan, 22, of 65 Legate Hill Road, Leominster, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, and on warrant charges of shoplifting by asportation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, receiving stolen property, larceny of a motor vehicle, malicious wanton property defacement, and larceny at 1:11 p.m. Wednesday.
Elidio Guzman, 46, of 39 Laighton St., was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation, failure to appear upon recognizance, and on warrant charges of daytime breaking and entering for a felony and larceny from a building at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire
A report of an exterior trash fire at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday on Pleasant Street. A kitchen fire was reported, but firefighters determined it was actually an exterior trash fire. The fire was extinguished and power was restored to the building.
Theft
A report of a stolen bicycle at 12:37 p.m. Tuesday on Middle Street
A report of a larceny/forgery/fraud at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday on Corn Point Road. A caller reported receiving a letter from the State of Texas, which notified him that someone had used his social security number to seek disaster unemployment assistance. He wanted to report it was not him who had been seeking benefits and that someone had stolen his social security number. He had already notified the State of Texas.
A larceny/forgery/fraud was reported at 5:16 p.m. Tuesday on Pleasant Street. A caller reported someone had withdrawn $120 from his Eastern Bank account. He had already notified the bank about the unauthorized transaction.
NAHANT
Animal Control
Police received a call from a resident on Linda Lane at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday who inquired as to whether anyone had called about a loose dog. The dog was described as a brown and tan yorkie terrier. The caller was advised police had received no calls.
A caller reported a small dog was found roaming around Emerald Road at 1:13 p.m. The dog was later reported to be reunited with its owner.
Complaints
A caller reported a noise complaint from the excessive use of power tools at 7:01 a.m. Tuesday. An officer dispatched to Knights of Columbus reported someone was working on a boat but was wrapping up on arrival.
Police received a call at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday from a resident who reported he believed a party depicted on a local sex offender poster was down at the Tides area with a small child sitting on a bench. Dispatched officers patrolled the area and located no one.
A party called at 4:28 p.m. Monday to report kite strings were tangled in telephone wires on Parrott Road A dispatched officer was able to cut the kite down with no further issues.
Police received a complaint at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday about a marijuana plant visible from the street on Nahant Road. An officer was dispatched to investigate the complaint.
SAUGUS
Accidents
Police received a report of an accident at 10:59 p.m. Tuesday near Sunnyside Park. The caller reported the vehicle ran over a fire hydrant. The Department of Public Works was notified.
Complaints
A 911 caller reported at 12:48 a.m. Wednesday that some of her belongings were stolen by her daughter. Officers were dispatched to the Holiday Inn Express where they reported speaking with the mother and daughter. Both parties agreed to get along for the night.
Police received a report at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday of a male and female arguing in the parking lot of the Sears Automotive Center on Broadway. Dispatched officers reported being unable to locate the parties.
A caller on Upland Road reported loud music and singing coming from a nearby home at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday. Dispatched officers reported a party had taken place but most attendees had gone home. Residents agreed to keep the noise to a minimum.
Police received a 911 call from a manager at 99 Restaurant on Broadway who stated there was a white male party wearing dark clothing with a blue tarp wrapped around him asking for the cops to be called on him. Dispatched officers reported requesting an ambulance for evaluation. One party was transported to Melrose Wakefield hospital.
Larceny
Police received a call at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday from a resident who reported his bike was stolen from his home on Jefferson Avenue between the hours of 12 and 5 a.m. Officers took down a report.
Police received a report at 7:31 Tuesday from a caller who stated a male party wearing a green raincoat, possibly intoxicated, was walking around in the median near Target on Route 1. Dispatched officers were unable to locate the party.
Theft Returns
Officers reported locating a pair of stolen bicycles and returning them to their owners on Walnut Street at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday.

A report of suspicious activity at 2:17 a.m. Tuesday at 54 Redington St.
A report of a disturbance at 6:56 a.m. Tuesday at Swampscott High School at 200 Essex St. A caller reported there was a large convoy of 20 to 25 cars traveling down the street toward the high school. The juveniles were reportedly riding on the roof of cars and honking their horns while screaming anti-police slogans.
A disturbance was reported at 8:09 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Park at 601 Humphrey St. A caller reported cars were doing donuts in the parking lot.
A report of a disturbance at 5:44 p.m. Tuesday at 22 Roy St. A woman reportedly jumped out of a vehicle and ran into a yard. A man reportedly kept driving the vehicle and said he was robbed.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 8:26 p.m. Tuesday at Walgreens at 505 Paradise Road. A caller reported her cat was stolen at Walgreens.
