The manager of JP Licks reported a customer refused to wear a mask and would not leave the store at 9:14 p.m. Thursday at 800 Market St. Police reported the customer had left before their arrival.

A report of suspicious activity at 8:08 p.m. Wednesday on School Street. An employee reported there was a woman standing outside of Tony’s watching the salon. The employee said that as she was locking up, the woman came over and started asking her questions about the business and the town. The owner of Five Corners later called about the woman and said she was outside of the little theater. She was reportedly walking back and forth and talking to herself. The woman told police she did not need assistance and was headed home.
A ring and run was reported at 11:06 a.m. Thursday on Brookhouse Drive. A caller reported she has had a few ring and run incidents in the past few weeks.

A report of an opioid overdose at 1:48 p.m. Thursday on Atlantic Avenue.
Theft
A report of a larceny/forgery/fraud at 10:22 a.m. Wednesday on Farrell Court. A caller reported a purse was stolen from their home.

Police were notified of a motor vehicle accident on Castle Rd. at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday. One party was transported to the hospital.
Animal Control
Police received a report at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday of a loose dog in between the school and the convenience store on Castle Rd. The caller was afraid the dog would be hit. The dog was later reunited with its owner.
Complaints
A resident called at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday to complain about a vehicle parked outside her residence on Baker Rd.
SAUGUS
Accidents
Police received a call for a motor vehicle accident with property damage near Wheelabrator at 11:11 a.m. Thursday.
Complaints
Police received a report at 8:39 p.m. Thursday from a caller who stated kids were laying in the middle of Dow St. and flashing flashlights at cars. Dispatched officers reported speaking with two juveniles before sending them on their way.
A caller at 5:08 p.m. Thursday reported two motorcycles were driving around the vicinity of Pevwell Dr., making laps and speeding. An officer check of the area was negative.
A 911 caller reported at 4:01 p.m. Thursday that there was an intoxicated male party staying in room 5 of the Avalon Motel on Broadway and she wanted him removed. Officers were dispatched and reported one party was transported to Melrose Wakefield Hospital.
Police received a call at 2:54 p.m. Thursday from a woman who reported a male party had been walking Carr Road for two and a half hours, wearing a red shirt and beige pants. A dispatched officer reported there was no one who fit that description upon arrival.
Thefts
A caller at 6:28 p.m. Thursday reported her bicycle, valued at $800, was stolen from her garage. An officer was dispatched to Harrison Avenue for a report.
Police received a call at 5:50 p.m. Thursday from a party who stated he’d followed a shoplifting suspect from Lowes to Osprey Road, retrieved the merchandise, and ID’d the suspect. The merchandise was returned. Management was unaware of the incident and was reportedly happy to have their property back.
A man walked into the station at 2:34 p.m. Thursday to report his Social Security number was used to file for unemployment. He was advised to contact the Social Security office.
A woman walked into the station at 1:13 p.m. Thursday to report her debit card was used at Walmart online and the items were picked up in Saugus.
Police received a call at 12:20 p.m. Thursday from a man who reported his home was broken into while he was away. Officers dispatched to Scotts Mill Court reported the home did not appear to have been broken into, but the male party reported a wallet was missing. A report was taken.

A report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 5:33 p.m. Thursday at 394 Lowell St. A car into a pole was reported. A woman was taken to Salem Hospital. Police reported there was damage to the fence and grass at the address.

A report of suspicious activity at 7:56 p.m. Thursday at Crystal Green Cleaning Service at 10 Crowninshield St. A caller reported there were people at the gazebo who did not belong there. An officer reported the gazebo was empty.
Suspicious activity was reported at 11:16 p.m. Thursday at Plaza Motel at 125 Newbury St. A caller reported hearing gunshots from a black Honda Civic that had been passing by. Police responded and reported there was no issue.

A report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering at 12:44 a.m. Friday at 34 Hillcrest Circle. A caller reported kids who were on bikes and walking broke into a vehicle and fled toward Spinelli Road.
Complaints
A report of suspicious activity at 12:22 a.m. Friday on Pine Street. A caller reported six to eight kids were checking driveways and heading in the direction of the train station. Some were on bikes and others were walking.
