A report of suspicious activity at 11:32 a.m. Tuesday on Humphrey Street. A caller reported she saw a male and two females attempting to break into the short bus. She said she confronted the teens and they took off.
A report of a disturbance at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday on Front Street. A caller reported a man approached the house and started talking about “garbage.” She said the man was at the back door talking about how he wanted to speak with the police. An officer reported the man’s brother took custody of him.
A report of suspicious activity at 11:14 p.m. Tuesday on Sunset Road. A caller reported he saw someone in the neighborhood “who doesn’t look like he belongs.” The man was reportedly pacing back and forth in the area. Police checked the area and could not find the man.
Theft
A report of plants stolen from the island at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday at Humphrey and Maple streets. A caller reported six to seven of his new plants were stolen from the traffic island. He said the island had been fully planted at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
A caller reported jewelry was missing from his father’s estate at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday on Harding Lane.

Jessica M. Freeman, 43, of 16 Porter St., Apt. 3, Salem, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for a subsequent offense and disturbing the peace at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday.

A report of suspicious activity at 7:59 p.m. Tuesday at Peabody Fire Department at 47 Lowell St. A caller reported a suspicious envelope was dropped off at the station.
A well-being check was performed at 12:14 p.m. Wednesday at 82 Prospect St. and 230 Andover St. after a child, aged about 5, was seen wandering by herself toward Route 114. Police located the child at 13 Keys Drive and will be filing a 51A report with the Department of Children and Families.
Fire
A report of a fire at 12:41 a.m. Wednesday at Tanner City Barbershop at 149 Main St. An electric scooter was reportedly on fire in front of the barbershop. The fire department responded.
SAUGUS
Accidents
At 4:53 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported she had been in a motor vehicle accident and had to follow the other motor vehicle until it pulled into a driveway on Lincoln Avenue. Papers were exchanged prior to police arrival.
Complaints
A 911 caller reported at 4:29 a.m. Wednesday that an unknown person knocked over a chair in a yard near Reynolds Law Office on Jackson Street. A dispatched officer requested an ambulance for an evaluation on an intoxicated male. The ambulance transported the party to Melrose Wakefield hospital.
Police received a call at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday from a party who reported a black PU truck was swerving on to Central Street and went up onto the sidewalk before pulling back to the roadway and the driver exited the vehicle. A check of the area for the party turned up negative.
Lost Property
Police received a call at 5:09 p.m. Tuesday from a man who believed his personal property was removed from his residence on June 26 from a male he met at the 7-11 on Hamilton Street after they both ingested Xanax. A dispatched officer reported speaking with the caller, who wanted to document the missing items.
