Tyrell Berberena, 25, of 27 Ashton St., Malden, was arrested and charged with four counts of armed assault to murder, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of carrying a firearm without a license, murder, and armed assault to murder a person 65-plus at 2:12 p.m. Monday.
Jamie Lopez, 19, of 16 Rogers Ave., was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at 6:08 p.m. Monday.
David Polito, 28, of 100 Willow St., was arrested and charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and malicious wanton property defacement at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday.
Josue Sanchez, 25, of 126 Union St., was arrested and charged with operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, unregistered motor vehicle and on warrant charges of arrestee furnishing false ID information, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to stop/yield and Class B drug possession at 3:47 p.m. Monday.
Carmelo Scoppettuolo, 54, of 285 Sargent St., Revere, was arrested on warrant charges of shoplifting by asportation and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license at 9:37 a.m. Tuesday.

Accidents
A caller reported a truck took down wires and a pole, which was leaning on a house on Mechanic Street at 11:55 a.m. Monday. Police reported a black truck struck a pole and left the area. The cement truck returned to the scene after the police sent out a BOLO alert.
Complaints
A report of suspicious activity at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday on Atlantic Avenue. Police reported someone was attempting to dump contraband into the street drain.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 9:24 a.m. Monday on West Shore Drive. A man walked into the station to report someone had desecrated his mother’s grave.
NAHANT
Complaints
Officers received several calls for fireworks in the Bass Point area at 9:11 p.m. Saturday. Units were sent to investigate and officers reported speaking with the calling parties, who reported the responsible parties left the area prior to officer arrival.
Police received a report at 7:36 p.m. Saturday of jet skies being used too close to shore off of Short Beach. The Harbormaster was notified and an officer reported the jet skies were moved farther out.
A caller at 12:30 p.m. Saturday reported she was on her way home when she received a call from a neighbor about possible rabid raccoons in her yard. Officers were given permission to check the property on Valley Road and reported normal wildlife behavior.
Police received a call at 12:25 p.m. Saturday from a woman who was worried about raccoons fighting on the roof of her neighbor’s shed on Valley Road. The woman stated it did not sound good and she suspected the raccoons may be rabid. The caller was advised that police could not trespass unless it was a public safety emergency.
Police received a call at 10:01 a.m. Saturday from a resident who reported a raccoon wandering down the middle of Willow Road. The caller said the raccoon appeared to be injured and possibly rabid. Officers were unable to locate the animal.
A party walked into the station at 5:59 p.m. Friday to report an unknown neighbor continuously moves their traffic cones. The party was advised they can’t use cones to block parking spaces on a public roadway.

Accidents
A report of a motor vehicle crash at 7:56 a.m. Tuesday at South Peabody Liquor Mart at 87 Lynnfield St.; at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday at 550 Lowell St. and 232 Newbury St.
Complaints
A report of suspicious activity at 5:21 p.m. Monday at Raddin Park on Raddin Road. A caller reported there was a motorcycle and white vehicle in the parking lot. He thought the occupants might have been involved in drug activity. Police reported both vehicles were gone prior to their arrival.
SAUGUS
Complaints
A woman called 911 at 12:11 a.m. Tuesday to report a male had taken her car keys and left in his own vehicle. Officers were dispatched to the Target on the Lynn Fells Parkway and determined there had been a verbal argument only. The woman was given a ride to Melrose.
At 11:04 p.m. Monday, officers reported a suspicious motor vehicle on the upper level of the parking garage near the Holiday Inn Express on Broadway. The occupants were told not to park in the garage anymore.
At 10:24 p.m. Monday, officers reported a suspicious vehicle in the upper lot of the Dick’s Sporting Goods on Broadway. Officers spoke with the occupants, who stated they were just watching TV.
Police received a call at 9:29 p.m. Monday about a group of kids who were on the roof of the Veterans Memorial Elementary School. Dispatched officers spoke with the occupants of a vehicle in the rear parking lot who stated they saw a group of kids, but the kids had since left.
Police received a call at 9:04 p.m. Monday from a man requesting a check of the desk employee at Holiday Inn Express, who he said he believed was confused of his job and did not know how to handle a person sitting in the front lobby. A call was placed to the front desk, and the attendant stated he was in no need of services. He said he had a small group in the lobby that was evicted, and he said they stated they were still waiting for their ride.
A 911 caller at 6:01 p.m. Monday reported her husband and their neighbor were in a verbal altercation over a tarp. Officers were dispatched to Walnut Street, where they reported peace was restored.
Larceny
Police received a call at 4:32 p.m. Monday from a woman who reported her “slow for children” sign she put on her property was stolen, even after being weighed down with sand. An officer was dispatched to Hobson Street for a report.
Well-being Checks
Police received a call at 4:38 a.m. Tuesday from a woman who reported her neighbor was sleeping in the backyard and she was concerned for his well being. Officers were dispatched to the neighbor’s home on Marden Street and determined he was not in need of medical or police services at the time.
SWAMPSCOTT
Complaints
A report of a disturbance at 9:29 a.m. Monday at 222 Paradise Road. A caller reported staff members of the gas station were yelling at him.
A report of suspicious activity at 9:17 p.m. Monday at 690 Humphrey St. A caller reported a package was left at her house for a person who does not live there.
Theft
A report of a motor vehicle theft at 5:52 p.m. Monday at 71 Puritan Road. A caller reported her boyfriend borrowed her car and refused to return it.
