Breaking and Entering
A report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering at 8:47 a.m. Thursday on Bessom Street A caller reported a cinder block was used to smash the window. The DPW was notified for glass cleanup.
Complaints
A report of a disturbance at 9:36 p.m. Thursday at Marblehead Harbor. A caller reported people were yelling and screaming on a boat in Doliber’s Cove. The harbormaster spoke with two male teenagers on the boat who were quiet, but relayed that there were 10 females swimming into the Grace Oliver’s Beach who were hooting and hollering.
Theft
A report of stolen plants at 8:52 p.m. Thursday on Pleasant Street. A caller reported she saw someone pull up to her flower shop in a black Corvette, steal some plants and then drive off. The man told police he had left $20 in cash for the plants underneath the door. He returned to the shop to point out where he left the money and police reported everyone involved was satisfied with the outcome.
Vandalism
A report of graffiti at 5:47 p.m. Thursday on Mugford Street. A caller reported she noticed a swastika and some other writing with racial slurs on the side of a house while she was walking by. The building owner was notified and said she would try to clean it up when she returned home later that night.

A report of a police motor vehicle crash at 8:02 a.m. Friday at the Police Department at 6 Allens Lane. A police vehicle backed into a dumpster.
Complaints
A report of suspicious activity at 8:55 a.m. Friday at the Police Department at 6 Allens Lane. A caller reported someone was taking pictures of the parking lot and thought it was one of the police agitators.
Suspicious activity was reported at 2:43 p.m. Friday at 2 Pump Station Road. A caller reported a person was having an episode near his vehicle. Police reported the person was upset about running out of gas and was waiting for his mother to bring him gas. A neighbor assisted with providing gas to the person.

Michael Mackie, 48, of 71 Sumner St., Gloucester, was arrested and charged with Class E drug possession with intent to distribute and violation of the city knife ordinance at 12:41 p.m. Friday.
Thomas F. Mackie, 36, of 71 Sumner St., Gloucester, was arrested and charged with no inspection/sticker, Class B drug possession, Class E drug possession and violation of the city knife ordinance at 1 p.m. Friday.

SAUGUS
Burglary
Police received a call at 10:40 a.m. Friday about a motor vehicle break and enter on Broadway. An officer was dispatched for a report.
Complaints
A caller at 10:57 p.m. Thursday reported she saw a group of teenagers who appeared to be intoxicated in front of a house on Golden Hills Rd. who were yelling at cars. Dispatched officers performed a search of the area and reported all seemed to be in order.
A caller at 9:24 p.m. Thursday reported several cars parking on her street (Cheever Ave.) with teens exiting the cars and going into the woods. Officers were dispatched to disperse the teens.
Police received a call at 8:37 p.m. Thursday about several youths in the area of Newhall Ave. banging on windows. An area check was performed and no youths were located.
Police received a call at 8:16 p.m. Thursday from a man who reported he was approached by a white male, approximately 6 feet with LSW brown shorts, sneakers, and no shirt who the caller believed appeared to be on drugs and who may be suicidal. Dispatched officers were unable to locate the man.
Police received a call at 8:10 p.m. Thursday from a resident of the apartments on Newhall Ave. who reported a female from a neighboring apartment screaming for assistance in the hallway. Dispatched officers reported speaking with the parties in that unit and determined no services were needed.
Vandalism
A caller at 8:45 a.m. Friday reported his vehicles were damaged on July 8 by someone throwing fireworks under the vehicle. An officer was dispatched to Appleton St. where they reported no damage and that the caller simply wanted the incident documented.
Wellbeing check
Police received a call at 7:12 a.m. Friday about a Black male with no shirt on walking in the median on Broadway. A dispatched officer reported being unable to locate the man.
