LYNN — Mayor Thomas M. McGee has announced two new appointments and two re-appointments to the City of Lynn Human Rights Commission, which were approved by the City Council Tuesday evening.
Audrey Jimenez and Arti Bhatt were re-appointed to the Human Rights Commission, and Tien Danh-Huang and Kassandra Fabian, were confirmed as new appointments, according to a statement from McGee’s office.
“Each appointee will bring their unique perspective and experiences to the Commission from their various backgrounds,” the statement said. “The mayor looks forward to their active engagement as the Commission addresses issues of equity and discrimination facing our community today.”
The Human Rights Commission aims to eliminate unlawful discrimination, provide education about human rights issues, and work with diverse individuals and community groups to promote tolerance, mutual respect and human rights, according to McGee’s office.
