LYNN — A pedestrian is still in critical condition after a Monday night hit-and-run on the Lynnway, State Police said.
Police responded to the call at 11:28 p.m., and the pedestrian, a 55-year-old Lynn man, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital shortly after.
State Police are searching for the vehicle that struck the pedestrian, which is possibly a dark colored SUV, black or blue in color, that may have front end damage.
An investigation has indicated that the vehicle was traveling northbound when it struck the pedestrian in the area of 333 Lynnway, which propelled the victim onto the southbound side of the road. The vehicle then fled on Market Street, state police said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, has information about the vehicle, or may have seen a vehicle matching that description on the Lynnway or elsewhere in the city at or after 11:30 p.m. Monday is urged to contact the State Police Revere barracks at 781-284-0038.
