A report of a boat fire at 2:58 p.m. Tuesday at Marblehead Harbor. The harbormaster reported a boat fire between Cat’s Island and Eagle Island. The Salem Harbormaster reported no one was on the vessel and the fire stemmed from a coolant issue. The boat was towed back to the dock for an investigation.

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 2:32 p.m. Wednesday at Strip Mall at 182 Newbury St. A caller reported a JRM truck hit a retaining wall and thought the crash caused $3,000 worth of damage to the front of his property.

A report of a breaking and entering at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday at 20 Keys Drive.
Complaints
A report of suspicious activity at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday at 6 Glen Drive. A caller reported a person was going door to door and ringing doorbells. Police did not locate the person.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday at 6 Allens Lane. A man came into the police station to report one of his workers had been the victim of a theft. Ana Stefani, 22, of 48 Bow St., Apt. 15, Beverly, was summoned for larceny over $1,200 and malicious destruction of property.
SAUGUS
Accidents
A party called to report their vehicle was struck at Lowes on Route 1 at 12:25 p.m. and someone left a note stating that the vehicle who struck the car was a red truck.
A 911 caller at 11:02 a.m. Tuesday reported his truck took down some cable wires on Dow Street. Comcast was notified.
Complaints
Police received a call at 4:59 a.m. Wednesday from a party reporting a suspicious black jeep with the lights on parked in the parking lot of Stan’s Aluminum on School Street. An officer reported the vehicle could be traced back to a rental company and everything checked out.
Police received a call at 8:39 p.m. Tuesday about a group of kids on the roof of the Veterans school. A responding officer reported the kids appeared to have left prior to arrival.
A caller at 6:33 p.m. Tuesday reported a group of teens swimming in the reservoir. A dispatched officer reported there was a family fishing, not swimming. The officer moved the family.
Public Assistance
A female party walked into the station at 6:59 p.m. Tuesday to report she needed a ring cut off her hand. The ring was removed.
Thefts
A 911 caller at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday reported his motor vehicle was broken into. An officer was dispatched to Morton Avenue for a report.
Officers received a report at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday that a male party with a dark-colored cap, blue jacket, and red/blue baseball cap left Skechers at the Square 1 Mall with roughly $200 in merchandise. An officer spoke with the manager and determined it was roughly $55 worth of merchandise. A report was taken.
