A caller reported there was a man standing in front of CVS with a hateful sign at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on Atlantic Avenue.
Police received a call about a man who was dancing on the rocks by the water at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday on Atlantic Avenue. A police response was canceled because the man had left the area.
A report of a chopping sound at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday on Green Street. A caller reported there was a “chopping sound” coming from the transfer station on the Blueberry Lane side. Police reported all was quiet in the neighborhood and there were not any signs of chopping.
Fire
A caller reported her brother extinguished a mulch fire at around 6 a.m. Tuesday on Evans Road. The caller told police at 9:03 a.m. that morning that she thought the fire had been smoldering all day on Monday as they had smelled something. Her brother woke up to the area being on fire. Police reported the fire was caused by someone throwing cigarettes into the mulch. The fire was extinguished again.
Theft
A report of a larceny/forgery/fraud at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday on Pleasant Street. A caller reported her bank had told her someone had fraudulently used her business account.
NAHANT
Animal Control
Police received a call at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday from a resident who reported his dog ran away from Doggy beach approximately five minutes before the call. The dog was later located.
Citizens Assist
Officers received a call at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday from a resident inquiring if B. Spelta hairdressers were operating. The caller was advised that hair dressers are operating under strict COVID guidelines and she was advised to contact the owner personally.
Complaints
A caller at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday reported two teenage youths riding bicycles the wrong way in the Long Beach parking lot who were swerving in front of cars. Dispatched officers reported seeing several youths on bikes but no unusual activity.
A caller at 2:14 p.m. stated she received another grandmother scam call and requested an officer. An officer was dispatched to the home and reported the caller had hung up on the scammer and no pertinent information was provided.

Accidents
A report of a motor vehicle crash at 5:19 p.m. Monday at Route 128 South and Route 95 South. A car into the bridge was reported. The driver was taken to Boston Medical Center by medflight.
A report of a police motor vehicle crash at 9:01 p.m. Monday at Brooksby Village at 100 Brooksby Village Drive. A gate came down on a police cruiser as it was leaving the facility. There was no damage.
A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 4:54 p.m. Tuesday on Wilson Square.
A report of a motor vehicle crash at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday at Mattress Giant at 262 Andover St.; at 12:31 p.m. Wednesday at 2 Pulaski St. and 0 Wilson Square; at 4:09 p.m. Wednesday on Route 128 South.
A car reportedly struck a pole at 6:43 a.m. Wednesday at 4 Centennial Drive. There were no injuries.
Complaints
A report of a disturbance at 8:42 p.m. Monday at Center School at 18 Irving St. A caller reported some kids threw a rock near him. They exchanged words and then the kids reportedly ran near the back of the school. An officer spoke with everyone involved and all denied action.
A disturbance was reported at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday at 15 Bourbon St. A caller was trying to work from home and reported the upstairs neighbor had been stomping his feet since 5:30 p.m. Police reported the resident would not answer the door, but all was quiet.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday at 2 Lowe St. The Peabody Municipal Light Plant reported theft of electricity. The electrical inspector responded and the power was turned back on. The property owner will be receiving a fine.
A larceny was reported at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday at Acura of Peabody at 233 Andover St. A caller reported wheels and tires were stolen from a vehicle at the dealership overnight.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 10:24 a.m. Tuesday at 6 Nichols Lane. A caller reported his car was vandalized, but did not want to pursue the matter.
