Marblehead solidarity walk Tuesday

The Marblehead Racial Justice Team invites everyone to join a Tuesday, June 2, solidarity walk and vigil in support of Black victims of racial violence.

The walk will begin at 5 p.m. at Clifton Lutheran Church, 150 Humphrey St., Marblehead, and end at St. Stephen’s Methodist Church, 67 Cornell Road.

“Please gather with us in lament and commit to act. We will hear the names of those killed, and Rev. Dr. Andre Bennett will make a statement that Black Lives Matter, ” Father Ron Coyne, Our Lady, Star of the Sea, said in a statement.

Social distancing requirements will be followed and enforced. Anyone with mobility differences is invited to attend the vigil at St. Stephen’s.

“If you feel ill or at risk, please attend online,” said Father Coyne.
