Lost and Found
A woman found an ATM card on Phillips St. and called the station at 11:22 p.m. Thursday to inform officers she would bring the card in the next morning.
Complaints
Police received a report at 10:37 p.m. Thursday from a caller who could hear a woman in a car talking loudly into her Bluetooth on Pleasant St. in front of the caller’s house. Based on the conversation, the caller suspected the woman may be using drugs. A needle could be seen in the car by another neighbor. Dispatched officers spoke with the woman, who was transferring items from one pocketbook to another. Nothing unusual was found.
A caller at 5:55 p.m. Thursday reported she had found a “twist” baggie in her yard and suspected it may have drugs. The caller said she would drop the bag off at the station.
Police received a call at 5:12 p.m. Thursday from a resident who was concerned about the amount of people at the beach and playground area. She was advised that the Board of Health makes those decisions, not the police. The woman stated she was going to leave the Board of Health a message about the amount of people in those areas.
Police received a call at 9:08 a.m. Thursday from a resident upset with aggressive, speeding, and unsafe cars going through her neighborhood due to the traffic detour. She said motorists were not being respectful of residents on her street. The caller said she had put her car out onto the roadway to slow traffic and had put out “a couple of reflective slow guys” in the roadway. Caller wanted to know how long this would go on for. Dispatch told her her complaint would be logged and an officer would be sent to monitor traffic. The woman was also advised that she could not put stuff like “the slow guys” in the public way.
Citizens Assist
A woman called at 2:53 p.m. Thursday to report she and another party were sailing model boats on Redds Pond and the boats had gotten stuck on lily pads. The woman was directed to call the Park Department for assistance.
SAUGUS
Complaints
Police received a call at 11:26 p.m. Thursday from a resident who reported he was being threatened over Instagram. The caller did not want the other party to be contacted, but wanted the incident on record.
A caller at 5:49 p.m. Thursday reported she received an unemployment packet when she didn’t file for unemployment and she was concerned about identity theft. The woman was advised to contact Revenue Services.
Police received a call at 5:03 p.m. Thursday about a group of cars in the parking lot of Polcari’s Restaurant. The caller reported the occupants of the vehicles were drinking beers. Dispatched officers spoke with the parties and determined they were several youths drinking soda after a golf game who were waiting for their pizza to-go.
Larceny
Police received a call at 3:15 p.m. Thursday from a woman who reported she was loading groceries into her vehicle at Stop & Shop on Main St. when a woman knocked on her window. The caller reported that when she rolled down her window, the woman grabbed the caller’s pocketbook and fled in a black SUV. Officers were dispatched for more information.
Wires Down
A 911 caller at 10:39 a.m. Thursday reported a large truck took down several wires in the area of Adams Ave. Damage to multiple housing fixtures was reported and National Grid advised homeowners they would need to hire electricians because their service drop wires were not up to the eighteen-foot height code.
Wellbeing Check
Police received a call at 4:13 a.m. Thursday from a party who reported another male party slumped over on a bench at Red Roof Inn on Broadway. Dispatched officers were unable to locate the party.

Police responded to a noise complaint at 8:57 p.m. Thursday on Highland St., and to a report of hazardous conditions at 11:47 a.m. Thursday on Atlantic Ave.
Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at 1:59 a.m. Friday in the area of Hampden St.
