Tyquan Harris, 29, of 20 Lawton Ave., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and on warrant charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a correction officer, disturbing a correctional institution, shoplifting by asportation, assault and battery on a police officer, threat to commit a crime, attempting to evade taxi fare, carrying a dangerous weapon, Class B drug distribution and drug possession with intent to distribute at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday.

A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday on Atlantic Avenue.
Complaints
A report of a disturbance at 4:57 p.m. Tuesday on Heritage Way. A caller reported that a woman started yelling at her after her dog pushed some mulch off the yard when she was walking past the house. When she started to walk away, the woman reportedly got into her car, chased the caller down and yelled at her from the car to stay off her property or she would call the “cops” and have her arrested. The caller said this happened after she put the mulch back that the dog had pushed off the yard.
A report of a fraudulent account that was opened at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday on Evans Road Extension. A caller reported someone attempted to file unemployment under his name.
A disturbance was reported at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday on West Shore Drive. A caller reported 20-25 kids were making noise in the park. Police reported they were gone upon arrival.
NAHANT
Accidents
An officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Flash Rd. at 9:05 p.m. Monday. The officer determined the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Arlington on May 17. The vehicle fled onto Castle Rd, striking a house. The female passenger was attended to by a nurse on the lawn. Nahant Fire and Swampscott Police were contacted. The passenger was transported to Salem Hospital.
Assist Citizen
A caller at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday reported some type of deceased animal in her fish pond on Phillips Rd. She did not believe it was a dog or cat and believed it had been there for some time. She was referred to Walters Wildlife.
Police received a call from a woman at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday from a woman stating she had locked herself out of her house on Howe Rd. and did not have a spare key. Fire units were notified to assist the resident.
An unknown party called at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday inquiring for information about when the beaches are open and if they can walk on them yet. The party was advised to call the COVID-19 EOC line.
Animal Control
A caller reported her white Persian cat missing from Little Nahant Rd. at 9:15 a.m. Monday and asked to be contacted if the cat is located. The cat is declawed and named Winston.
Complaints
Police received a call at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday from a party reporting that people are parking/stopping/speeding in the vicinity of Forty Steps Beach on Nahant Rd. A dispatched officer reported there were no vehicles parked in the vicinity at the time.
Police received a call at 2:49 p.m. Monday from a resident who complained of screaming pigs on Valley Rd. The caller reported that the chickens were making a lot of noise as well and that the noise had been occurring for over an hour. A dispatched officer reported that the area appeared quiet.
SAUGUS
Accidents
Police received a call at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday from a woman who reported her vehicle was hit in the parking lot of Polcari’s Restaurant on Broadway and the other party left the scene. The restaurant’s security footage was reviewed and the suspect was located. The parties exchanged paperwork and a report was taken.
Break-In/Burglary
Officers received alarm alerts at 9:42 p.m. Tuesday from the Mobil Mart on Broadway. Dispatched officers reported a broken window on the scene. A break-in was confirmed to have occurred at 9:36 p.m. Officers reviewed camera footage with the Mobil Mart keyholder and determined a safe was stolen. The suspect is a male of average build between 5’9 and 5’11. He was wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans with his boxer shorts showing. He used a mask to cover his face.
Complaints
A 911 caller reported hearing the sound of gunshots at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday in the area of his home on Golden Hills Rd. Dispatched officers contacted Melrose Police Department. An officer reported witnessing fireworks in the area of Socs Ice Cream. A search of the area was negative.
Police received a 911 call at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday from a party who reported a tall, white male with blond hair and wearing a blue jacket was holding a knife and talking to himself on Forest St. Dispatched officers reported that a thorough search of the area turned up negative.
A woman called at 8:42 p.m. to report her yard was being flooded by a neighbor emptying their pool on Westford St. A dispatched officer reported a resident on Clinton Ave. was draining his pool and had completed the task. There was some minor flooding in surrounding yards. It was determined that no police services were needed.
A third-party caller reported at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday that a male who looked like he “didn’t belong there” was trying to gain access to the side door of First Congregational Church. The caller’s daughter did not want to get involved and would not provide a description of the male. Dispatched officers reported that the building appeared to be secure.

Complaints
A well-being check was performed at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday at 37 Salem St. The Department of Children and Families had received a call from a Line for Life Employee who had been called by a child at the address. The child had reportedly said she thought her mother’s boyfriend was a pedophile. The man was reportedly masturbating in front of her and touching her underwear.
