Lynn’s Salvy the Florist continues to welcome former Welch Florist customers for Mother’s Day orders a month after Welch owners David Daley and Keith Saunders retired and negotiated a business merger with Salvy Migliaccio and his family.
“We’ve been friends with Keith and David a long time,” Migliaccio said.
The Welch owners sold their Essex Street location and their website alerts customers to the merger and directs them to Salvy the Florist’s website.
“We’ve reached out to their clientele and explained it and brought them into the fold,” Migliaccio said.
He said Welch was formerly located on Union Street where Salvy’s opened a florist shop in 1983, closing it in 1992. Founded by Migliaccio’s father in 1962, Salvy’s has Swampscott, Broadway and Western Avenue stores. Coronavirus precautions prompted Migliaccio and his family to restrict customers from the stores. All customer deliveries are “no contact” and Migliaccio urged customers to place orders through Salvy’s website.
Reduced floral arrangement and delivery staff means that Mother’s Day orders placed on Friday and Saturday will be delivered on Monday and Tuesday, Migliaccio said.
