Complaints
A report of suspicious activity at 10:17 p.m. Wednesday on Front Street. A man reportedly attempted to get into a building through a window. Police conducted a walk-through of the business with the restaurant owner, who reported being satisfied. A witness reported the suspect was in his 20s and possibly intoxicated. Police searched the boat yard.
Theft
A report of a larceny/forgery/fraud at 4:37 p.m. Wednesday on Cedar Street. A caller reported a credit card scam.
NAHANT
Complaints
Police received a call at 2:39 p.m. Tuesday about children playing soccer at the ball field behind the firehouse. A dispatched officer reported it was a father and his two sons playing.
An unknown caller at 1:14 p.m. Tuesday reported that pigs had been out squealing all day near Valley Road. An officer made contact with the owner of the pigs and determined two of the three were making noise. Those two pigs were brought inside. The third pig remained sleeping outside.
Missing Pet
An officer reported at 6:01 p.m. Monday that a party was searching for his dog in the area of Fox Hill Road. The dog is described as a beige and white Pitbull/Lab mix and was last seen running up Fox Hill Road to Flash.
SAUGUS
Complaints
Police received a report at 8:27 p.m. Wednesday from a caller who said a four-door white Sedan had been parked in the rear lot of Pleasant Hill Condos, and the driver had been sleeping in it for two days. Officers spoke with the driver and determined the party was living out of his vehicle.
A caller on Newhall Avenue reported her vehicle stolen at 8:03 p.m. Wednesday. Police determined the car was not stolen, a family friend had taken the vehicle. His phone died and he was unable to call the owner. Officers report the vehicle was returned.
A 911 caller at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday reported a vehicle operator on the Lynn Fells Parkway was drinking tequila out of the bottle in the driver’s seat of the car. Officers spoke with the vehicle’s operator and report the claim was unfounded.
Thefts
Police received an email at 1:52 p.m. Wednesday from a man reporting his Toro snowblower was stolen from his yard on Victor Street. A report was taken.
Well-being Check
Police received a 911 call at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday about a male party slumped over his wheel while parked at Bacci’s Pizzeria on Howard Street. The caller reported the vehicle was slowly rolling into the middle of the intersection and was not stopping. Dispatched officers report the vehicle was towed and the driver was taken into protective custody.
