A report of a motor vehicle crash at 6:26 p.m. Monday on Bessom Street.
Complaints
A report of loud music at 4:08 p.m. Monday on Ocean Avenue. A caller reported his neighbor was blasting music and working in his yard. The caller said he has been dealing with this for the past three years. Police reported the music was not loud upon arrival.
A report of suspicious activity at 4:26 p.m. Monday on Russell Street. A caller reported he received a package with no return address. Inside, he found three tightly wrapped tin foil small blocks. He did not open the tin foil. Police contacted the post office, which tracked down where the package came from. It turned out to be baked goods from the caller’s sister.
An Atlantic Avenue caller reported the house across from her had all of its lights on at 9:48 p.m. Monday, which usually indicated her neighbors were having a party. She told police she didn’t see any people, but went on about social distancing and kids partying. Police told her they would not be responding simply because she saw lights on inside a neighbor’s house unless she saw kids congregating or partying. The caller said she did not see anything at all and would not be going out to look. Police told her they would not be responding.
NAHANT
Complaints
Police received a call at 4:31 p.m. Sunday from someone reporting a vehicle operating erratically and speeding in the area of Mitchell’s corner. The caller reported the vehicle had almost hit a jogger. The car’s information was passed on to nearby units.
A woman called at 1:21 p.m. Sunday to report two vehicles had parked behind her house and the occupants were walking around on Bailey’s Hill. She stated a few of them had walked into her backyard where her kids were playing. She told officers she was concerned about COVID-19 and would like an officer to disperse the vehicles.
Police received a call at 12:46 p.m. from a party who wanted to report surfers and windsurfers in the lot near Coastal Heritage Bank on Nahant Road. The caller reported the parties were “dressing and undressing in the lot like it is a bathhouse.” The caller was also reportedly very angry about the lack of social distancing. A dispatched officer dispersed the group.
At 9:56 a.m. Saturday, a caller stated he was an employee at the Northeastern Lab and was unable to exit the East Point lot due to multiple cars parked on the other side of the traffic cones, blocking the exit. An officer dispersed the cars without incident.
Theft
A caller at 6:47 p.m. Sunday reported two bags belonging to her were stolen from Nahant Beach while she was surfing.
SAUGUS
Complaints
A man called the station at 1:41 a.m. Monday to report his upstairs neighbor was poking something through the floor, hitting him in the head. An officer was dispatched to the apartments on Newhall Avenue and spoke with the caller, who stated an iron rod was being poked through the floor. The officer reported being unable to speak with the other party at the time and would follow up on the matter.
Police received a call at 3:58 p.m. Sunday about a man punching the air and screaming at Bed Bath and Beyond on Broadway.
Suspicious Activity
Police received a report at 2:55 p.m. Monday of a male walking along the median on Route 1 North near Applebees. Dispatched officers reported the man was off on the side of the road near Speedway. He was sent on his way.
Theft
Security from Walmart reported a male and female shoplifter at 5 p.m. Sunday. The woman screamed at the manager and left the store. The male party was apprehended in the office and will be summoned.

A report of suspicious activity at 8:55 p.m. Monday at Cherry and Mudge streets. A caller reported four to five occupants had been smoking in a parked car for the past two hours. Police advised the people about the social distancing restrictions.
