A report of change taken at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday on Thompson Road. A caller reported his car was rifled through overnight and change was taken. He said the suspect left a cigar in his car.
Complaints
A report of a landscaper working at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday at Shepard and Jersey streets. A caller reported a landscaper was working and it was a nonessential business. The caller was told the police chief was in the process of getting a ruling on the matter.
A report of identity theft at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday on Hooper Street. A caller reported someone opened a bank account and an Uber driver account in his name.
A report of a hanging sign at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday on Atlantic Avenue. A caller reported the overhead sign had come loose and she was afraid it was going to come down on someone or fall on the sidewalk. Police reported the sign was not going to fall down. It was hanging by one chain instead of two.

Gevens Mayala, 30, of 54 Paleologos St., was arrested on an outstanding warrant on Tuesday at 8:37 p.m. following an unwanted person call to police.

Jonathan Berganza, 24 of 34 Story Ave., Lynn, was summoned for attempting to pass a counterfeit note at Walgreens on Main Street on Tuesday at 5:06 p.m.
