Arrest
Abraham C. Mercado, 48, of Lynn, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 8:42 a.m. Tuesday.
Complaints
A crossing guard reported at 9:22 a.m. Tuesday a car turns right on red on a daily basis and almost ran him and some students over one morning at Humphrey and Maple streets. A parent provided the car’s license plate and police informed the driver that there is no right on red in that location.
A report of threatening notes left at 9:53 a.m. Tuesday on Lime Street. A caller reported a threatening note was left on a tenant’s car. The woman no longer rents a spot there but had been parked there for a couple of hours the previous night.
A caller reported she was at the nursing home trying to teach her cousin how to use the cellphone and they did not know they dialed 911 at 12:53 p.m. Tuesday on Lafayette Street. All was fine.
A manager reported two customers appeared to be intoxicated in the store at 3:36 p.m. Tuesday on Washington Street. The manager was concerned because one of them got behind the wheel of a car. Police reported the driver was not drunk

Arrest
John Puerta, 30, of Saugus, was arrested on charges of a Malden District default warrant and a Chelsea District default warrant
Accidents
Police received a call from a woman at 4:54 p.m. Tuesday who reported she was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident. An officer was dispatched to Essex Street to oversee the paperwork exchange.
Complaints
A caller at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday reported a loud noise coming from a speaker in another room at Newhall Avenue apartments. Officers checked the complex and were unable to find a noise.
An Uber driver reported picking up an intoxicated person at 9:51 p.m. Tuesday who fell asleep in his vehicle. Due to Uber policy and a health condition, the driving party reported he was unable to touch the man. Officers were dispatched to the area of Curtis Road and arrested the man for outstanding warrants.
Employees at Macy’s at Square One Mall on Broadway reported multiple cars racing through the lot at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday. The group dispersed upon officer arrival and one driver was issued a citation.
A woman came into the station at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday to report as assault, saying her roommate had swung at her three times the day previously. The woman was advised of her rights and the civil eviction process.
Suspicious Activity
A woman came into the station at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday to report she found a piece of weathered bone on YMCA property by the academy school. Officers are unable to tell at this time where the bone piece came from.
