A report of an assault at 9:21 p.m. Sunday at Humphrey Street and Countryside Lane. A caller reported a youth was assaulted by a man who was getting off the T bus. The victim reported it was an unprovoked attack. The assailant was described as a white, heavy-set man who had reportedly been “talking to himself.”
A Washington Street caller reported her neighbor told her that there were two people who were trying to take her paddleboard from her backyard at 4:59 p.m. Sunday. Police reported the paddleboard would be staying there for now and the people were working something out.
Erica A. Demodena, 42, of 77 Newhall Ave., Apt. 304, was arrested on a warrant at 9:28 p.m. Saturday.
Alvaro Lopez, 23, of 41 Johnson St., Apt. 1, Lynn, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and on a warrant at 10:17 p.m. Sunday.
A report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury at 2:27 p.m. Friday at Jimmy’s Steer House at 114 Broadway. A caller reported a two-car crash with one person complaining of neck and back pain. The person refused medical attention.
A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 4:47 p.m. Friday at 225 Fairmount Ave. A caller reported a car slammed into his vehicle when it was parked next to the house.

A woman who struck the side of her head on her steering wheel was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. The man driving the other car declined medical attention.

A report of a breaking and entering at 4:14 p.m. Friday at LA Fitness at 1450 Broadway. A caller reported someone broke into his gym locker and stole his wallet.
A report of suspicious activity at 2:50 a.m. Saturday at Clifton Arms at 141 Essex St. A caller reported a man had been walking down the rail trail and shining a light into people’s homes. Police were unable to locate the man.
A report of a disturbance at 8:29 p.m. Saturday at Polcari’s Restaurant at 92 Broadway. A caller reported he was assaulted by another employee. Police reported the people involved were separated for the night.
A report of suspicious activity at 10:58 p.m. Saturday at Big Y at 357 Broadway. An officer reported a group in front of the old Rite Aid looked like they wanted to start a fight. Additional officers responded and reported the group of kids had come from Roller World and were waiting for the bus in front of Kohl’s. The group got onto the bus without incident.
A disturbance was reported at 1:39 p.m. Sunday at Brenner’s at 26 Osprey Road. A caller reported a woman with bright red hair had jumped out of a black SUV that had been occupied by three men. The woman reportedly walked away from the area toward Route 1 South and was followed by the SUV. Police located the woman by Brenner’s and gave her a ride.
A report of a disturbance at 3:03 p.m. Sunday at 76 Springdale Ave. A caller reported a group of youths were playing on the hill in her backyard and refusing to leave. Police reported the youths had left prior to their arrival.
A disturbance was reported at 8:14 p.m. Sunday at Avalon Bay Communities at 859 Broadway. A caller reported a verbal disturbance. A man had reportedly locked himself in the bathroom. The unwanted man was reportedly using heroin in the home. Police reported the man was aggressive, but further investigation revealed the man had been showering and there was no evidence of a crime.
