A well-being check was performed at 8:55 a.m. Friday at 1100 Salem St. after a caller reported a person appeared to be sleeping in a vehicle parked on the side of the road. Police checked the area and were unable to find the person.
A report of a disturbance at 7:42 p.m. Friday on Liberty Lane. A caller reported hearing loud bangs that may have been fireworks. Police responded and couldn’t find anything.
A well-being check was performed at 9:16 p.m. Friday at Pillings Pond on Summer Street after a motorist thought he saw two people on the pond. Police reported two men were sitting on the bench, but there wasn’t anyone on the pond.
A report of an injured animal at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Assumption School at 40 Grove St. A caller reported she hit a fox in the parking lot. Animal Control was notified.
A report of juvenile offenses at 5:52 p.m. Saturday on Melch Road. A caller reported someone threw a champagne bottle from the woods onto Melch Road. A police search was negative.
A caller reported someone ran up to her door and tried to open it at 10:29 p.m. Saturday at 54 Ledge Road. The caller said the person took off running. Police spoke with a Canterbury Road resident who reported his surveillance footage had picked up someone at his door trying to open it.
Peabody Police reported a dark colored vehicle had traveled at low rate of speed and a man inside had yelled for a woman to get inside.
A caller reported someone was knocking at her door at 2:25 a.m. Sunday at Sellers at 66 Beaver Ave. A police search was negative.
A report of a disturbance at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on Market Street. A caller reported a group of older juvenile males was assaulting a younger male. A police search was negative.
A large group of youths was reportedly running through yards screaming at 8:11 p.m. Sunday at 300 Lowell St. and 1 Cider Mill Road. Police reported a group of youths was playing basketball.
A report of youths knocking on doors at 8:41 p.m. Sunday at 6 Wildewood Drive. Police stood by while youths made their way home.
A report of a suspicious person at 11:28 p.m. Sunday at Pillings Pond on Summer Street. A caller reported a man was standing on the side of the road screaming.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 10:03 p.m. Sunday at Rockaway and Atlantic avenues. One of the drivers in a two-car crash was cited for texting while driving.

A caller reported her 100-year-old husband was having trouble figuring out the TV and needed assistance at 5:25 p.m. Sunday on Front Street. Police reported the man couldn’t figure out how to change the channel and the call was a misuse of 911.
A caller reported an erratic operator at 6:24 p.m. Sunday at Atlantic Avenue and Commercial Street. The caller said the driver of a red Mustang was “easily going 40 mph.”

Brendan C. Mastropietro, 25, of 3 Winter St., Apt. 2, Beverly, was arrested and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and motor vehicle use without authority at 1:45 p.m. Friday.
Mark A. Mazzone, 31, of 177 Pauline St., Apt. 2, Winthrop, was arrested on warrants at 3:22 p.m. Friday.
Accidents
A report of a motor vehicle hit and run crash at 6:55 a.m. Friday at 10 Newhall Ave.
A report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury at 8:17 p.m. Saturday at 310 Lynn Fells Parkway. A caller reported his car was struck by another car while he was driving. Police reported both cars swiped each other, which blew out the front tires of both vehicles.
A motor vehicle crash with personal injury was reported at 11:46 p.m. Saturday at Turn Around at 1539 Broadway.
Complaints
A caller reported a man in a pickup truck was illegally dumping trash in their dumpster on a regular basis at 9:26 p.m. Friday. Police advised the caller to notify them the next time it was taking place.
A report of a disturbance at 11:52 p.m. Friday at Speedway at 220 Broadway. A store clerk reported a man had an altercation in the store over a purchase and before leaving the establishment, he threw a large item at the building. Police reported there wasn’t any damage to the store.
A report of suspicious activity at 1:19 p.m. Saturday at 14 Harvard Ave. A caller reported two men were acting suspiciously in front of the building.
A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 3:41 p.m. Saturday at 37 Beacham Ave. A caller reported a white SUV with two flat tires had been parked in front of the home for about three days. The registered owner was notified and came to move the car.
A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at 8:53 p.m. Saturday at Cataldo Ambulance Service at 180 Walnut St. A caller reported a car had struck and damaged a guardrail. Police were unable to find the vehicle.
A disturbance was reported at 4:09 p.m. Sunday at 46 Western Ave. A woman walked into the station to report she had an altercation with a friend of hers. The caller said the woman had stolen her necklace and assaulted her. The matter is under investigation.
A report of suspicious activity at 9:17 p.m. Sunday at 3231 Founders Way. A caller reported she was involved in an altercation with a woman on Saturday and she was threatened by the woman. The caller was concerned for safety. She reportedly came home to find a car with its lights out and two people inside who were staring at her as she was walking away.
