A well-balanced attack lifted the Saugus boys hockey team to its second win of the season with Wednesday’s 7-3 victory over the Lynn Jets at Connery Rink.
Jason Caron recorded a hat trick and dished two assists. Lorenzo Keegan wasn’t far behind with two goals and four assists. Masey Ventre and Cam Anderson each scored one goal and logged two assists.
Ryan Ragucci led the Saugus defense and goalie Jack Devereaux made 22 saves.
The Sachems (2-9-1) host Peabody Saturday (8).
Lynn (0-13) visits Swampscott Saturday (4:30).

Winchester 3, St. Mary’s 0
The Spartans fell to 8-2-2 on the season and host Newburyport Friday (7).

Nick Muzi and Ian Worthley each scored a goal in the loss at Stoneham Arena. Jack Vieira made 12 saves.
Fenwick (6-5-1) hosts Arlington Catholic Saturday (6).
GIRLS HOCKEY
St. Mary’s 8, Arlington Catholic 1
Jenna Chaplain, Kelly Lovett and Marina DiBiasio scored two goals each. Samantha Porazinski and Lily Pregent scored one goal each. Zoe Solomons and Aria Kader each had two assists.
Rhyan Pitari started in net and Gianna Tringale saw her first varsity action over the last 10 minutes.
“It was a really good team win,” coach Frank Pagliuca said. “We capitalized on a lot of the opportunities. We had a variety of players contribute on the scoresheet. It was great to see Gianna get her first varsity minutes. She’s such a great kid and a great teammate.”
St. Mary’s (7-0-3) travels to Archbishop Williams Saturday (7:40).

Mia Norris and Julia Holmes scored a goal each as the Vikings improved to 5-4-2 on the season. Summer Tallent made 21 saves.

The Panthers improved to 8-3 and inch one step closer to their second consecutive Division 4 North state tournament bid.
Algha Barry (18 points), Winfred Sanchez (16) and Andrew Puati (11) guided the Panthers.
KIPP travels to Nashoba Tech Friday (TBA).
SWIMMING
Tech 92, Greater Lawrence 84
Tech’s top performers included Liam Donovan (first in 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle), Jeffrey Bucko (first in 200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke), Ben Donegan (first in 100 freestyle), Luis Hernandez (first in diving), Lee Lewis (second in diving), Oliver Brooks (second in 500 freestyle, second in 100 backstroke), Colin Donovan (second in 200 freestyle), Jeremiah Arzola (second 100 freestyle, second in 50 freestyle). Tech also won all three relays.
The Tigers (4-3) travel to Shawsheen Tuesday (3) for the CAC Championships.
WRESTLING

The Eagles remained undefeated on the season with the win over their longtime rival. Winners for St. John’s were Adam Schaeublin (106 pounds), Nick Curley (113), Cam Paolillo (120), Alec Runnals (126), Quinn Alexander (132), Rawson Iwanicki (138), Matt Mitchell (152), Achilles Gikas (160) and Owen Gaffney (220).
The Prep (24-0-1) has a home quad meet against Belmont, Foxborough and Windham (N.H.) on Saturday morning (10).
