The Swampscott boys hockey team snapped a 2-game losing streak with Wednesday’s 5-1 win over Northeastern Conference rival Saugus at Kasabuski Arena.
Drew Olivieri scored twice, while Conor Donovan, Griffin Bruhm and Matt Griffin each scored once. Donovan and Olivieri recorded two assists each. Jack Russo made 23 saves.
Mike Capone scored Saugus’ goal. Jack Devereaux made 35 saves.
Swampscott (7-4) hosts Winthrop Saturday (12:30) at Salem State’s Rockett Arena.
Saugus (1-7-1) hosts Gloucester Saturday (5:40).

Marblehead got wins from Camden Heafitz in the high jump (5-10), Dylan Klocker in the shot put (38-10 1/2), Christopher Barone in the 55 dash (6.66), Godot Gaskins in the 300 (37.53), Tyler Henlotter in the 600 (1:41.3), William May in the 1000 (2:55.3), Peter Clifford in the one-mile (4:52.2) and Loeden Rodrigues in the two-mile (10:40.24).

The lone win for Classical came from Fraynel Del Rosario Amparo in the 55 hurdles (8.76). The Rams will run in a tri-meet against Saugus and Winthrop next Thursday (4).

The Tigers had a pair of double-winners in the victory Wednesday, with Liam Donovan finishing first in the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle and Dustin Bloom placing first in the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley. Other winners for Tech were Sheyly Villegas in the 100 butterfly and Luis Hernandez in diving.
Tech (2-3) travels to Blue Hills Friday afternoon (3:30).
