The Swampscott boys basketball team picked up its third consecutive win with a 63-56 win over Saugus at John Towers Gymnasium Friday.
Swampscott senior center Oscar Hale recorded a triple-double with 20 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocked shots.
“Oscar has come along,” Swampscott coach Jayson Knowles said. “He didn’t play at all until high school. He played soccer and was a swimmer and decided to join us. And we’re sure glad he did.”
Liam Hamilton logged a double-double at 10 points and 10 rebounds. Anthony Rakauskas scored nine points with eight rebounds and five assists. Cam O’Brien scored nine points with five steals. Justin Ratner added five points and hauled in five rebounds.
Swampscott (4-4) travels to Marblehead Tuesday (7).
Christian Correia led Saugus with 21 points and Myles Manalaysay scored 16.
The Sachems (2-7) host Northeast Monday (7).
BOYS BASKETBALL
Classical 55, Marblehead 41
Classical bounced back into the win column behind 21 points from Jayden Thornton and 11 from Jeff Hill. Jeff Barbosa added nine points.
Adam Zamansky had a strong game in the post with 18 rebounds.
“We played well defensively and got it down to eight points with a few minutes left,” Marblehead coach Mike Giardi said. “We were shooting two but we couldn’t convert. Classical hit their free throws. We missed too many shots from the paint and we were 7-for-20 from the free throw line.”
Marblehead (3-6) hosts Swampscott Tuesday (7).
The Rams (6-3) host Winthrop Tuesday (7).
English 84, Danvers 43
The Bulldogs improved to 9-1 on the season.
English was led by 25 points from Jarnel Guzman and 12 from Joaquin Crepso.

St. Mary’s 63, Cathedral 34
This one belonged to Joey Abate-Walsh, who logged a double-double at 28 points and 13 rebounds. Abate-Walsh hit six 3-pointers.
Lee Pacheco also logged a double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds).

Winfred Sanchez (17 points) and Algha Barry (12) guided the Panthers.

Mehki Cronin just missed a double-double (13 points, eight rebounds) and Yael Vizcaino scored 11 points.

Kylia Reynoso led the Bulldogs to their third win of the week with 17 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Mashayla Johnson also hit a pair of 3’s and finished with eight points. Jessica Ruiz added 10 points.
English (7-1) hosts Marblehead Thursday (7).
Marblehead 63, Classical 48
Leila Walton led Marblehead’s offense with 18 points, while Emily Clough (12 points), Cat Candelaria (five points, six assists) and Fehr Gillett (15 rebounds) also played well.
Marblehead, still undefeated at 9-0, travels to Swampscott Tuesday (7).
Classical got 17 points from Amber Crayton, while Jean Gupton-Morrison netted 12 points. The Rams (4-4) travel to Winthrop Tuesday (6:30).
Saugus 45, Swampscott 41
Saugus senior Taylor Bogdanski scored a career-high 20 points. Kiley Ronan scored a season-high nine points. Jessica Nazzaro and Catherine Schena, who provided a spark off the bench, also played well.
Saugus (5-2) travels to Medford Monday (7).
Williams 53, Fenwick 30
Veronica Tache’ led the Crusaders with 11 points and four steals. Annie Murphy followed with 11 points and Liz Gonzalez added five assists and five rebounds.

Alondra Sanchez (15 points) carried Tech, Lily Cote scored seven, while Iranis Julio and Nayelis Diaz scored five points each.

Freshman Maddie Stiglets had a career game with 20 points.
Maura Dorr (14) and Caroline Earl (10) also scored in double-figures as Winthrop (4-3) earned its first NEC win of the season.

Meredith Yuhasz took first place in the 200 individual medley (2:27.32) and the 500 freestyle (5:43.07).
Analiese Jezowski scored 191.10 points and Isabella Forte scored 181.575 points, both in diving.
Fenwick swims against Matignon next Sunday (Jan. 19, 2 p.m.) at St. John’s.
